I am a studio potter based at the Manchester Ceramics Collective, Old Trafford. I was very fortunate to complete 2 years studying at Clay College, Stoke on Trent, on an intensive course designed to teach a new generation a practical and in-depth exploration of the craft of pottery. I then spent 3 months as an assistant at La Meridiana, International School of Ceramics in Tuscany, guiding the students of a 3 month intensive ceramics course, focusing on gas reduction firing and participating in two wood firings.

I love to make pots that are joyful to use as part of everyday rituals to encourage a sense of comfort and warmth. I am a great admirer of Medieval pottery and hope to create friendly forms in an expressive manner with generous curves, slipped surfaces and playful handles. I am fascinated with people’s relationships to material objects and like to leave traces of the maker on my pieces to encourage a dialogue with the user.

I currently make slipware pots in my studio space at the Manchester Ceramics Collective and I teach a yearly throwing course at La Meridiana School of Ceramics in Tuscany.

You can find my pottery stocked by TOAST, Homeward Studio in Leek, Nottingham Contemporary Gallery and on my online shop.
